Hello, I'm Katie! I was born and raised on the island of Nantucket, and for as long as I can remember I've been immersed in and inspired by the natural beauty of my home. I always had a camera in my hand when I was younger, chasing sunsets at the beach, out on my Dad's fishing boat and documenting my adventures. I've had a passion for storytelling from an early age. A few years after college, I moved to Boston and enrolled in the New England School of Photography for their two-year professional program and studied photojournalism, wedding and portrait photography. After graduating I started my business on Nantucket. My goal and passion is to document the moments and experiences you’ll cherish forever. I am committed to capturing the human experience from the smallest elopement to the biggest wedding celebration, from everyday life to the family vacation celebrating 60 years of marriage for the grandparents. I would love to tell your story!

Brihgid and Mike were married at Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios in 2014! This was a special moment they shared just after their first look, they embraced a long time and the setting was spectacular. They had an intimate wedding with family out on a dock overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Having spent lots of time in Jamaica earlier in my life I was overjoyed when these two asked me to travel down with them to capture their festivities!

Congratulations Julia and Nate!! Timeless, romantic and so much love! Tropical storm Jose was no match for this amazing couple! Ferries and flights were canceled for 3 days leading up to the weekend but Julia, Nate, and their families kept calm and had a positive attitude! In the end, almost all of their guests managed to make the journey to Nantucket in the nick of time for this amazing celebration! After the wedding ceremony, the rain had stopped and everyone walked through the beautiful streets of Nantucket! The pavement was still damp as the storm lingering but all you could feel was warmth and love as this incredible group made it’s way to the wedding reception at The Nantucket Yacht Club!

A very memorable evening with one of our couples, Jamie and Jonny, who live in Austin, TX but are planning to be married on Nantucket! We started their session on the south shore of Nantucket and ended over on the north shore at Steps Beach one of their favorite locations. They had an unbelievable sunset and I always love staying a bit later in the evening to see what the sky will do! This evening was gorgeous and the perfect backdrop to capture the love these two share.

Rita and Paul on their wedding day at the Bantry House in Ireland, the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. Paul is from Ireland and he met Rita many, many summers ago on Nantucket Island. They have made a wonderful life together spending time in both places and their community of friends and family gathered from all ends of the globe to celebrate with them. The Bantry House is located in Cork, Ireland and was built in the early 18th century. The rich history and unique gardens make for a truly magical setting. Before the ceremony we did the first look and took in the views from the top of the staircase, I hiked up a little higher to let the couple have a quiet moment while capturing a few portraits, setting the scene for all that was to follow.

None of us will ever forget the awesomeness of this day! Mother Nature kept everyone present as wild thunderstorms rolled in and out during Hayley and Cristin's Wedding on Nantucket. Right at twilight we went outside for a few more portraits and as they danced I loved the motion of Hayley's dress against the dramatic skies! Everything about their day was a great reminder that in life and marriage you must stay present and enjoy the journey! We are so happy for these ladies, they radiate love and joy!

After everyone danced the night away to the incredible sounds of Soul System Orchestras the newlyweds had the send-off of a lifetime! Their guests cheered and tossed Ecofetti as the couple made their way to the Nantucket Yacht Club's dock for their wedding exit by boat! Lauren and Ed have the best energy and bring joy to everyone around them!

Megan and James were married September 16th, 2017 on Nantucket. Their wedding ceremony was at St. Mary, Our Lady Of The Isle Catholic Church, and their reception was at The Nantucket Golf Club. The wedding day was nonstop smiles and amazing happy energy! When we arrived at the reception Megan had a great idea to incorporate some beautiful big white balloons into their celebration and these made for amazing additions to our portraits! As I was photographing them walking along the golf course James spontaneously hopped up in the air - at the time I didn't know this was a signature move of his! Here is the moment we captured, it's almost as if he's literally floating! Fog rolled in over the golf course making for an absolutely stunning evening on the island we all refer to as The Grey Lady.

I had no idea this was about to happen! After the bridal party gathered at the iconic Compass Rose Mural on lower Main St. for some group photos this crazy moment unfolded. The Groom (pictured in the purple tie ) was handed a bottle of champagne which he opened and took a sip of....we captured a few nice candids of him…..AND THEN within a split second his hilarious groomsmen, Bertie grabbed the bottle, shook it up and this is what followed! The groom’s expression says it all (and I love that we can see his shiny new wedding band even through the chaos of the champagne). We all got covered in Champagne but it was completely worth it!
